The first solo exhibition in Glasgow by Manchester based artist Jo McGonigal.
McGonigal’s practice and research engages with emergent debate on new materialism and theories of the haptic in relation to painting. By taking painting apart and focusing on its physical components, she examines how the material components of painting affect the experience of the viewer, not what the painting means but what it does.
